Publication Ethics and Publishing Misconduct
IJIIM Journal is an international, peer-reviewed electronic journal committed to the highest standards of editorial ethics. To provide our readers with a journal of the highest quality, we affirm the following principles of editorial ethics and a misconduct statement. Any articles that do not comply with these standards will be removed from publication if misconduct is detected at any time, including after publication. IJIIM Journal subjects all articles to a double-blind peer review process:
- Reviewers are unaware of the authors' identities;
- Authors are unaware of the reviewers' identities.
We also check for plagiarism (using Ithenticate), as IJIIM Journal reserves the right to use plagiarism detection software to filter submitted articles at any time; falsification (manipulation of existing research data, tables, or images); and misuse of animals in research. In accordance with the Code of Conduct, we will report any suspected cases of plagiarism or duplicate publication.
Publishing an article in a peer-reviewed journal is essential for developing a coherent and authoritative knowledge base. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the authors' work and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is therefore important to agree on expected standards of ethical behavior for all parties involved in the publication process: the author, the journal editor, the reviewer, and the publisher.
The IJIIM journal is committed to the highest standards of editorial ethics, as well as freedom and independence, so that each author can express themselves without constraints or pre-defined frameworks. It takes all necessary measures against any unlawful practices in publishing, and also encourages innovative and non-traditional research.
All parties involved in publication (authors, journal editors, reviewers, and the publisher) agree on the standards of ethical behavior.
Author Responsibilities:
Authors must guarantee that they have written original works and that the manuscript has not been published elsewhere. Previously published manuscripts are accepted if the submitted manuscript has been significantly advansis.
Any work or text by other authors, collaborators, or sources must be appropriately credited and cited. Authors are also responsible for submitting articles in English.
Authors submitting their work to the journal for publication as original articles confirm that the submitted work represents the contributions of their authors and has not been copied or plagiarized, in whole or in part, from other works without clear citation.
Any work or text by other authors, collaborators, or sources (including online sites) must be appropriately credited and cited. All authors must declare any financial or other conflicts of interest that could influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript (financial support for the project must be disclosed).
When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, they are obligated to promptly inform the journal editor and work with the editor to retract or correct the article. An author accepts the license agreement before submitting the article. All articles must be submitted through the online submission process or via email attachment. Submitting an article to multiple publications simultaneously is a violation of editorial ethics.
Editors' Responsibilities:
Editors must ensure fair and anonymous peer review of articles submitted for publication. They will strive to prevent any potential conflict of interest between the author and the editorial and reviewing staff. Editors will also ensure that all information related to submitted manuscripts is kept confidential prior to publication. The Editor-in-Chief will coordinate the editors' work.
Reviewers' Responsibilities:
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on their content. They must ensure the confidentiality of all information related to submitted manuscripts. They must evaluate submitted works objectively and clearly present their opinions on the submission form.
Reviewers must bring to the attention of the Editor-in-Chief any information that might constitute grounds for rejecting a manuscript for publication. A reviewer who feels unqualified to review the research reported in a manuscript, or who knows that timely review will be impossible, must inform the Editor-in-Chief and abstain from the review process.
